Raju Deshpande is an Operational Excellence expert and strategic leader who is often called for solving ambiguous problems through process driven solutions. Raju’s relentless focus starts with the customer and his unique ability to leverage his process expertise with quick understanding of organizational dynamics to influence right behaviors has helped him drive successful, transformational changes in his professional career.
Currently Raju is using Customer Experience as a compass to lead his Operational Excellence priorities for East West Bank, a commercial bank with core competency in building a bridge between the East and the West. In his capacity, Raju has led numerous transformational initiatives in Retail, Commercial credit, Mortgage and many back office functions. With his focus on process driven changes, he has led three successful acquisitions for East West Bank.
In his prior assignments, Raju was instrumental in Lean and Six Sigma deployment in Bank of America Technology and Operations. Raju has also lead numerous lean transformations in a variety of manufacturing industries in his consulting career and developed a very popular 14-week Lean Enterprise curriculum for the San Diego State University where he served as an Adjunct Faculty for more than ten years.
In his spare time Raju tries to capture nature’s magical moments through his photography and takes every opportunity to soak nature through long hikes in local mountains. His most recent adventure was hiking Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
Jim Ensign is Chief Digital Officer for Republic Bank & Trust Company, developing digital strategy, customer experience and marketing with a focus on their recently launched national digital-only division MemoryBank (www.mymemorybank.com). Jim’s path into digital banking leadership was different than most, with a history of leading digital transformation in retail and marketing companies. Just prior to joining Republic Bank, Jim, as VP/Global Digital for Papa John’s International, led their transformation from a traditional delivery chain taking orders over the phone to a global digital-first company with the majority of sales coming through mobile and web.
David Galvan is a technology and internet veteran, with over 25 years of business and operating experience in Silicon Valley. He is currently VP of Business Development and Strategic Alliances for MasterCard International, where he focuses on relationships and investments with emerging companies in the digital space in Silicon Valley. Prior to that, Galvan was Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategy for 24 Hour Fitness, the largest privately owned U.S. fitness club chain in the United States, serving nearly four million members in more than 420 clubs. Galvan was hired by Private Equity firm Forstmann Little to prep the Company for sale after a failed attempt in 2012. Galvan oversaw business and operational management of the 24HF Personal Fitness Business, Retail Business, Corp/Healthcare Sales, Sponsorship Sales, and Real Estate Development Team. He was also responsible for all new and legacy deals and strategic partnerships for entire Company. The teams quick and extensive business and organizational efforts increased EBIDTA by an additional $40M in 10 months in 2013. 24 Hour Fitness was successfully sold to an investor group led by AEA Investors for $1.85B in June 2014, after which the Forstmann Little team sold their stakes and left the organization.
Before 24HF, Galvan was Chief Executive Officer at The Learning Annex, where he was recruited by the founder, Bill Zanker, to bring the successful offline educational business to the web via an online marketplace. Galvan was also President/Head of BD at Schedulicity, a leading online scheduling service for appointment-based businesses. Galvan has also held senior leadership and operating roles at Topix, InfoGroup, Yahoo, AOL/Netscape, Motorola and Unisys.
He is a frequent speaker on the Payments, Digital Commerce and Search and Local Marketplace scene. A native Californian, Galvan is a graduate of Stanford University
Sylwia Hans is Financial Services Director for Comarch US. She has been working in the industry since 2009 when she joined Comarch’s start up project iFIN24 – one of the first personal finance management systems for banks on the market. She has worked on international banking projects as a consultant, creating a new vision of the PFM. She currently specializes in business banking and wealth management solutions dedicated for banking.
Kristyn has over 20 years of experience designing and implementing large corporate financial web sites with specific focus on creating award winning customer experiences that drive significant sales and cost savings to the company's bottom line. She is currently the Vice President of Digital Strategy at Sallie Mae and is responsible for digital strategy, UX design and Front End Development for all customer facing digital platforms including Salliemae.com and Upromise.com. Before coming to Sallie Mae, Kristyn worked at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch and pioneered the launch of the Merrill Edge brokerage business. She developed the digital strategy, hired the team and launched their website, active trader platform and mobile suite. Prior to that, Kristyn was at Fidelity Investments for 15 years and was instrumental in digital strategy and design for NetBenefits and Fidelity.com. Her specific focus was on the authenticated experience on both web and native mobile platforms. Preceding Fidelity, Kristyn held positions at AT&T New Media Network and Digital Equipment Corporation. She has a Bachelor of Science from Babson College.

Her team has an enterprise-wide mandate to stimulate innovative activity. With a view to "what's next", "what's new" and "what's different", the Applied Innovation Team identifies and validates emerging technologies and opportunities that have the potential to drive client value and differentiate RBC from its competitors.
In her 20+ years at RBC, Elfreda has been involved in leading several innovation projects and programs within the Retail Banking, Technology & Operations, Corporate Real Estate and Head Office divisions; including developing one of the first hackathons run by a financial institution in North America.
Alex Jimenez is a VP and Senior Strategist at Zions Bancorporation, where he leads the overall technology investment planning process for the office of the CIO. Prior to his current role he was a Principal Consultant at AJ & Associates advising Financial Services organizations and those that work with them in the areas of digital banking, payments, innovation and general strategy. His other recent experience includes developing and managing Digital Banking and Payments Strategy at Rockland Trust, a community bank in Eastern Massachusetts. He was also Chair of the Consumer Bankers Association’s Digital Channel Committee, where he worked with Digital Banking leaders in the industry and visited Capitol Hill to meet with the Senate’s Banking Committee staff.
Amy Judd is a Group VP of Digital Channels with SunTrust Banks. In this role, Amy leads a digital product team providing all aspects of product management including defining new capabilities, developing innovative product strategies and delivering technologies using agile development methodologies. She is a certified Product Management professional and holds the Masters of Business Administration degree from Georgia State’s Robinson College of Business. Before joining SunTrust in 2009, Mrs. Judd worked for a diverse range of organizations, including E*TRADE Financial Corp. managing large teams to drive product and call center innovations.
Ryan is an innovative and results-driven leader with experience directing product strategy, development efforts, and marketing campaigns, across digital and non-digital channels for multi-billion dollar financial services companies. Ryan recently took on a new role at Bank of the West leading the organization’s enterprise innovation efforts, after having previously managed a product development organization, within Digital Channels, focused on delivering breakthrough digital experiences across the Bank’s public facing web presence. Before joining Bank of the West, Ryan was involved in payments innovation work at Capital One and helped grow U.S. Bank’s small business segment and global treasury management product portfolio.
James Ray is Managing Director, of Enterprise Sales for Chase Commerce Solutions. James is responsible for leading a multinational sales and service team dedicated to collaborating with our firm-wide partners to identify, develop, maintain and enhance the relationships we have with JPMorgan Chase’s top global clients and prospects.
Prior to joining Chase, James served as senior vice president of global strategic accounts and professional services for Elavon, the payment processor and subsidiary of US Bank. In this role, he led an experienced team of global account executives to pursue, capture and grow Elavon’s relationships with selected multinational enterprise accounts. These individuals strategically managed client relationships with senior decision makers to ensure Elavon anticipated the needs of their clients ─ coordinating the resources of the entire organization to enable commerce on a global scale.
Prior to Elavon, James was a strategic advisor serving diverse clients including AT&T, AutoTrader.com, Coca-Cola, Cox Enterprises, NCR, Sabre Holdings and Underwriters Laboratories. In each of these roles, James advised senior executives regarding organizational changes introduced by rapid growth, economic decline and/or the implementation of enabling technologies.
James holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas A&M University and has completed graduate studies in organization development at The George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University. James is also involved in the local community through organizations like the United Way, Gift for a Child, Habitat for Humanity and Hope for Guatemala.
Marria Rhodriquez is an Assistant Vice President and focuses on digital product strategy for the Wells Fargo Virtual Channel team. In her 15-year tenure at Wells Fargo Bank, Marria has worked in technology, marketing, strategy, and digital product management. She holds a degree in Technical Communication from the University of Washington and an MBA in Marketing from Golden Gate University. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, running, and spending time with her 6-year old son and husband.
John has been with CIBC since 2002 and has held a number of roles, all within the digital space. He and his teams were responsible for the design and development of Online Banking and our industry-leading launches of CIBC Mobile Banking, eDeposit and the CIBC Apple Watch app. Prior to working at CIBC John worked at IBM and 7/24 Solutions, where he led the user experience team that launched the first mobile banking and brokerage offerings in Canada. John led CIBC’s Digital Strategy and Innovation team, and was responsible for CIBC’s digital roadmap as well as CIBC’s digital innovation initiatives, including our new Innovation Lab in the MaRS Discovery District. He recently took on a new role defining the digital technology for CIBC’s assisted channels.
Aashir Shroff is Vice President of Mobile Banking and Payments for Wells Fargo's Digital Channel Group. Working in mobile for the past 10 years, Aashir has garnered much success by leading a variety of business development, product management and marketing functions. Aashir's career with Wells Fargo began in 2008 as an early member of the Wells Fargo mobile team. Throughout his tenure, Aashir and his teams have led efforts to help foster growth and deliver success for the mobile channel. Prior to Wells Fargo, he worked for both industry leaders and startups. He is a frequent guest speaker and contributor on mobile banking and payments topics.
Adil Wali honed his retail knowledge as co-founder and CTO of online brand ModCloth. During his tenure there, he helped transform the company from a small brand within a niche market to a household name doing nine-figures in revenue. Most recently, Adil has applied his retail knowledge to his enthusiasm for online gaming by founding LvlUp, a lifestyle brand in the eSports arena. He is also currently CEO of FoxCommerce, a company designing a robust eCommerce solution for retailers. He also founded Crowd Interactive, Mexico’s largest Ruby and iOS development firm and is an active angel investor who supports projects he truly believes in.
Jason Zeider has been in the financial services industry for more than 22 years. Jason was in charge of Marketing for 18 years at Tucson Federal Credit Union, most recently serving as Vice President. He was promoted to Vice President of Digital Strategy in 2014 where he is responsible for the definition and oversight of all member- and employee-facing online, mobile, and branch technology experiences for the $400 million credit union. He earned a BA in Advertising from Purdue University and moved to Tucson shortly after graduation where he lives with his wife and two children.
Josh Buchanan is a SVP for Bank of America and the leader of the design team for consumer and small business sales. Prior to Bank of America Josh worked with Wells Fargo and a range of consumer businesses, focusing on optimizing online sales. During his tenure, the Bank of America online sales team moved from a traditional waterfall and desktop-only sales delivery strategy to a mobile first and agile method of delivery.
