Head of Shared Services & Data and Analytics TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank

Stephan Schenk is Head of Shared Services and Data & Analytics, AMCB at TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank. As Head of Shared Services and Data & Analytics, AMCB, Stephan is a key member of the bank’s leadership team and sits on the management committee. In this role, he is responsible for driving the strategy and execution of back office support functions, including retail, small business and commercial loan originations; deposit and payment operations; loan servicing and distribution services; collections and recoveries; business process transformation; fraud management; bank-wide project management and governance, as well as TD's centralized data and analytics.

Stephan joined TD Bank in 2012, and was most recently President and CEO of TDGUS, responsible for governance, oversight and risk management of the combined U.S. operations, which encompasses all of TD’s U.S. business entities, including the retail and wholesale businesses, and TD’s equity ownership stake in TD Ameritrade. Before TDGUS, Stephan served as Chief Auditor, overseeing the independent assessment of the Bank’s key processes and controls and internal audits.

Prior to this role, Stephan served as EVP & Head of Operational Risk Management, where he was responsible for the Operational Risk program development and implementation across TD Bank. Before joining TD, Stephan was SVP & Chief Operational Risk Officer at PNC Financial Services Group, leading the Basel/AMA-based program and capital model implementation. During his thirteen years at PNC, he served in multiple roles and senior management functions in M&A, technology, risk management, security, program management and human resources.

Stephan taught Enterprise Risk Management in the Graduate Business School at Duquesne University where he serves on the Business Advisory Committee. He also serves on TD’s Foundation, Moorestown Friends School’s Assets & Budget Committee, and the Advisory Board for Calculi, a Silicon Valley-based technology company, transforming software development, delivery and operations processes for several Fortune 500 companies.

Stephan has an MBA from Duquesne University and completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. He has also completed the Advanced Risk Management Program at Wharton and the Leading Change & Innovation Program at the University of Chicago, as well as multiple technical training programs in information security, technology, internal audit and business continuity management
